The archive is arranged by era rather than by product line, because Seiko history reads more clearly as a sequence than as a catalogue. Lines cross eras, so they sit alongside the timeline rather than inside it.

Many watches are better known by nickname than by reference number. Where a nickname is in common use it is recorded and searchable, but the reference number is what identifies a watch, and it is what you should check any listing against.

This is an independent reference. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Seiko Group Corporation or any of its subsidiaries. Nothing here is a sales listing, and no entry is written to move a watch.

Where dates or specifications are uncertain, the entry says so rather than guessing. Production years for older references are often approximate, and reasonable sources disagree.

Photography is the point of the archive, so it is credited. Curated images and owner-submitted images are kept in separate bands on each reference page, so a submission never reads as part of the curated set.

Corrections are welcome and are more useful than additions. If an entry states something wrong, saying so with a source is the fastest way to improve the archive.
