Revival2017-

In 2017 Grand Seiko became a brand of its own, with its own dials, boutiques and distribution. The same year the 62MAS returned as the SLA017, opening a run of re-creations and modern re-interpretations that has since revisited most of the golden-age and quartz-era divers.

The SKX line ended and Seiko 5 Sports was rebuilt on its case in 2019; King Seiko returned in 2022. The current catalogue is, deliberately, a conversation with the archive, which makes the original references it quotes more sought after, not less.
